What is Zoom!?

Zoom! is a teeth whitening system designed by Phillips to lighten the discoloration of tooth enamel and dentin. This is a procedure performed in our dental office that combines the use of a hydrogen-peroxide based gel and the Zoom! Advanced Power Chairside Lamp.

What to Expect During Zoom! Treatment

Your dentist will conduct a comprehensive dental exam and review your expectations of teeth whitening. Dental work like veneers, bonding, fillings, crowns will be examined to determine if Zoom! is the best whitening solution. It is suggested that a dental cleaning occur prior to Zoom! Whitening for optimal results, On the day of your treatment your gums and lips will be covered with a protective material leaving only your teeth visible. A hydroden-peroxide whitening gel will be applied to the teeth being treated. For the next 15 minutes the Zoom! laser will be used to stimulate the gel. This process is repeated 3 times for a total of 45 minutes at your one time whitening appointment. Many report sensitivity and minor pain during the procedure, however this subsides once the treatment is complete. A sensitivity reducing fluoride paste will be applied to reduce any discomfort.

What to Expect for Results After Zoom! Whiting

When the procedure is complete and you first look in the mirror, you may see what seems to be unnatural white teeth, however within a couple days a more natural shade will remain. You will be given a take home touch up kit and instructions on use.
