Dental implants are designed to replace missing teeth. The implant becomes the root for your missing tooth and provides a base for a customized crown that is made to look and feel just like a natural tooth. One big advantage to dental implants over other restorative options is that they only affect the area in which they are placed; they don’t require the use of neighboring healthy teeth for support, like bridges or partial dentures.

Digital Workflow and Our In-House Periodontal Specialist
Dr. Yong Hur is the periodontal and implant specialist on our BDS dental team. He is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Periodontal certification, and a Master of Science. As our in-house dental implant specialist, he collaborates closely with our general dentists and clinical team to plan optimal periodontal care and implant dentistry for our patients.
Periodontology is a specialty in the field of dentistry dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, and in the placement of dental implants. Offering periodontal care in our practice gives our patients access to expert treatment of oral inflammation, gum disease, and dental implantology.
